What is "Faith Forward?"
This past August our church began a Strategic Planning Process that – with God’s guidance - will help chart our course as a congregation for the next three to five years. To assist us in this dreaming and planning venture, we are partnering with the Center for Congregational Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Center for Congregational Health works with hundreds of churches and faith communities throughout the United States - helping each congregation recognize and fulfill her full potential to be the very best church it can be. We are most fortunate to have Dr. Bill Wilson, the president of the Center for Congregational Health, to serve as our church’s strategic planning facilitator. The intention of this process is to help our congregation build upon its strengths as we intentionally seek to serve God as effectively as possible in the future. We are calling this process Faith Forward. To put your Faith Forward you can:
- Pray daily for the Strategic Planning Process and for each of the Faith Forward Committee Members. Our Faith Forward Committee Members are: Carla Blanton, Ben Boggs (co-chair), Mollie Brennan, Ben Carr, Carol Davis, Scott Fitzpatrick, Jim Humphrey, Dalen Jackson, Sherry Johnson, Abbie Jones, HK Kingkade, Francis Marcum, Patty Mason (co-chair), Ben Osbourne, Dana Sizemore, Bill Thurman, Fernita Wallace, Becky Wills, Anna Yuhas. Our full-time ministerial staff also serve on this committee.
- Plan to participate in as many of the following Faith Forward events as you can. Your participation is vitally important to the process.
